General Features

Advantages

According to many opinions, Brinkmann gas grills have a lot of advantages to mention:

  1. they are very easy and safe to install; every part fits well and the assembly goes very well
  2. you are provided the only two tools you need: screwdriver and wrench
  3. no flare-ups unless you use them per instructions
  4. the burner and grill light instantly
  5. have side burner, stainless steel sink, stainless drawer for cooking tools, stainless steel and cast aluminum construction
  6. Brinkmann grills models usually include two side shelves (made of wood) where you can put trays, pans, utensils while cooking.

Disadvantages

  1. a Brinkmann gas grill is quite heavy so you are recommended to get to its final destination and after that assemble it
  2. regularly, the Brinkman gas grills do not come with a gas tank. If you want to purchase a tank, take one of your old tanks and trade it in for a pre-filled one for a smaller price
  3. in case you want to assemble a "universal rotisserie" on your Brinkmann grill you would be a bit disappointed, because it doesn't quite fit without re-drilling the mounting holes (in fact, Brinkman company suggests to use only a Brinkman rotisserie).

Basically, there are few popular and successful models; among these: Gas Stainless Steel Brinkmann Backyard Kitchen with Side Shelf Longhorn Smoker/Grill, Brinkmann Gas Grill King Deluxe and Smoke'N Grill Gas Double-Grill Smoker.

Brinkmann Smokers

Brinkman gas grills also come in other types, called smokers, vertical and horizontal, each type with its advantages. Vertical smokers need less space. Also, they are very affordable and thus very popular among heavy grillers. The heat source may be gas, charcoal or electricity as well.

First thing to know is that the vertical smoker allows you to cook up to 50 lbs. of food at one time. The heat source is placed at the base of the smoker. You can put aromatic flavoring woods or herbs near the heat source to produce smoke. If you want to give your food more flavor, you should know that next to the heat source there is a pan containing water or flavored marinade which becomes steam as the liquid heats. This marinade, combined with smoke, makes the food more tasteful. It is argued that what you get is a very juicy, delicious food.

Most vertical smokers have two grills, one above the other, each capable of holding about 25 lbs. of food. Even a large turkey and a large roast can be smoked at the same time. Horizontal smokers aren't designed for gas source.
